Shemagh, or Palestine, originated in the Arab world, somewhere in the Middle East where it has been used for many centuries.
The British SAS was the first to introduce the Shemagh scarf to thearmy after World War II, and within 60 years it was accepted into many armies and armed forces around the world.
In the desert areas of Iraq or Afghanistan, Shemagh is also used by our ACR soldiers.
