The British SAS was the first to introduce the Shemagh scarf into the military after World War II, and over the past 60 years it has been adopted by many armies and armed forces around the world.
In the desert regions of Iraq and Afghanistan, the Shemagh is also used by soldiers of the Czech Armed Forces.
