The Hawke Vantage IR, 4-12x50, Mil Dot Riflescope is fully waterproof, shockproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging. It is designed to withstand the rigors of the field.

Variable magnification of 4 - 12x allows shooting at various distances with high accuracy. The lens has a diameter of 50 mm, providing high light gathering, ensuring a quality image even in low light conditions. The tube is 1" (25.4 mm) in diameter. The lenses are fully multi-coated (11 layers) with an anti-reflective coating, which maximizes image clarity, contrast and reduces glare. 

The MilDot crosshair looks like a classic crosshair, where the vertical and horizontal lines intersect the center of the optic. Small dots are placed on these lines at regular intervals. The distance between the centres of each dot corresponds to one milliradian (mil). One mil at 1,000 metres corresponds to a displacement of the projectile of 1 metre on the target. This system allows accurate estimation of the distance to the target if the shooter knows the size of the target. The aiming cross has illuminated ballistic markings and has 5 levels of illumination. The illumination colour is red or green. The turrets for elevation and lateral adjustment are lockable. Each click corresponds to 1/4 MOA.

The scope has a fixed parallax setting of 100 yards (91 meters), which is suitable for most hunters and short range shooters.
