MATILDA BACKPACK BY HELIKON
When designing the Matilda® bushcraft backpack, Helikon-Tex® took inspiration from one of the time-tested backpack series – the ALICE pack. The ALICE backpacks were designed in the 1970s but have remained popular among soldiers, outdoor enthusiasts, and bushcraft aficionados to this day.
The backpack is made from a combination of Cordura® 500D and Nylon 210D fabrics to ensure durability in critical areas while maintaining a lighter weight. Each pocket of the Matilda® backpack is equipped with a drawstring and secured at the top with a flap and a triple-prong buckle. This design prevents your gear from spilling out. The pockets are sewn along the edges, leaving a channel in the middle, allowing you to carry additional items, such as a small axe.
The sides, bottom, and hip belt of the backpack feature MOLLE/PALS webbing, allowing you to attach extra pockets and accessories. Two compression straps on the sides can be used for carrying a foam sleeping pad or for compressing the pack. The main compartment is also equipped with a hydration reservoir attachment.
